Tzaneen Covid-19 News
20th Jul 2020
20 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Market Tzaneen, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Thursday, 09 July 2020 – eleven days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was sent home because she wasn’t feeling well. She consequently had herself tested on Friday, 10 July 2020 (ten days ago). We were advised of the positive test result today.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Saturday, 11 July 2020 (nine days ago) – after we were advised that our colleague has been tested on 10 July 2020. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Tzaneen is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
