Stellenbosch Covid-19 News
3rd Jul 2020
03 July 2020 – A team member, who works in the Grocery department at Food Lover’s Market Stellenbosch, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Monday, 29 June 2020 – four days ago. On Tuesday, 30 June 2020 she called in to advise us that she was feeling unwell and consequently had herself tested. We were advised today of the positive test result. In the interest of transparency, we have let you know about this development and how we have already addressed it.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company has already conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store yesterday morning – Thursday, 02 July 2020. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Stellenbosch is open and we look forward to welcoming you back in store.
