Stellenbosch Covid-19 News
3rd Jan 2021
03 January 2020 – A team member, working in the Butchery Department at Food Lover’s Market Stellenbosch, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Monday, 28 December 2020 – six days ago. This team member felt unwell and was advised to stay at home. She consequently had herself tested on Thursday, 31 December 2020. We were formally advised of her Covid-19 test result today.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
We have closed the store temporarily for the rest of the day and will conduct a deep clean and sanitisation by a professional cleaning company early tomorrow morning, before the store opens. The store will reopen once we are completely satisfied that all hygiene protocols have been completed. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and our other colleague, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
Food Lover’s Market Stellenbosch will be open for business tomorrow morning, once the deep cleaning has been competed and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
