Savanna Chicken with Toasted Ciabatta

Ingredients

    10 chicken drumsticks
    20 garlic cloves, skin on
    A large handful of thyme sprigs
    1 Savanna Dry (330ml)
    Salt
    1 loaf of ciabatta bread, sliced and toasted

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 180°c.
    Brown the chicken in oil in a casserole pot over medium heat. Salt the chicken as it is browning. Remove from the pot. Add the garlic cloves and thyme and stir until fragrant (about two minutes) taking care not to burn.
    Add the browned chicken back to the pot and add the 330ml of Savanna. Place the lid on the casserole pot and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
    Remove from the oven and serve with the toasted ciabatta bread.
    *squeeze the roasted garlic out of its skin and squash on the ciabatta and enjoy with the chicken.
