Gourmet Braai Broodjies
- 1 loaf of sourdough bread, sliced
- Basil pesto
- Olive tapenade
- 4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 2 red onions, thinly sliced
- 300g Food Lover’s cheddar cheese, grated
- Prepare the braai broodjies by spreading butter on one side of sourdough slices.
- On the other side, spread the pesto and tapenade.
- Top with sliced tomatoes, red onion and cheddar cheese.
- Pop another piece of sourdough bread on top to create a broodjie.
- Grill over the hot coals until bread is toasted and cheese is melted
- Serve cut into quarters.
