Choc-Nut Pizza

This one is for fun, specially when you have kids (of all ages!) who love chocolate. You’ll definitely get them to eat their vegetables with this coming for dessert! Italian purists might be horrified, but it is so worth it.

    1 plain raw pizza base, large (store bought is fine, or make your own if you feeling energetic)
    melted butter
    1 jar Nutella spread (you will use about 60 ml per pizza)
    Assorted topping ingredients:
    pecan nuts, chopped
    Aero Dark, chopped roughly
    Aero Caramel, chopped roughly or
    Aero Mint, chopped roughly
    Marshmallows, cut up roughly (optional)



    Brush pizza with melted butter; bake pizza base until cooked in a very hot oven, 250 deg C or similar.
    Remove from oven.
    Spread Nutella on hot base.
    Sprinkle over assorted chocolate types, nuts and marshmallows if using.
    Return to oven and bake until chocolate begins to melt and turns gooey, about 2 minutes.
    Remove from oven, slice immediately and enjoy immensely.


IDEA : For the kids, why don’t you buy or make small individual bases and let them add the toppings themselves? They can pick and choose from a variety of different chocolate/nut/squishy sweets like marshmallows and bake off their own (with assistance from Mom).
