Parow Covid-19 News
30th Dec 2020
30 December 2020 – A team member, who works in the Butchery Department at Food Lover’s Market Parow, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Sunday, 27 December 2020 – three days ago. This team member called in to let us know he is feeling unwell and consequently had himself tested on Monday, 28 December 2020. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.
This colleague had one close contact, and we have instructed this team member to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with a said colleague. This colleague is being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that this team member has not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Monday, 28 December 2020 – when our colleague was tested for Covid.19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and our other colleague, back to the store.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Parow is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
