Parow COVID-19 News
15th Dec 2020
A team member, who works as a Till Supervisor at Food Lover’s Market Parow, has tested positive for COVID-19. Our colleague was last in the store on Wednesday, 09 December 2020 – six days ago. This team member was advised to take a test as someone she cohabitates with was feeling unwell. She consequently had herself tested on Friday, 11 December 2020. We were formally advised today of her positive test result for Covid-19.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
The store has been deep cleaned and sanitised by a professional cleaning company on Friday, 11 December 2020 – when our colleague advised us that she has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Parow is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
