Namibia – Walvis Bay Covid-19 News
4th Aug 2020
04 August 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Market Walvis Bay (Namibia), has tested positive for Covid-19. Our colleague was last in the store on Sunday, 19 July 2020 – sixteen days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was sent home because she wasn’t feeling well. She consequently had herself tested on Friday, 24 July 2020 – eleven days ago. We were advised today of the positive test result.
We have conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store by a professional cleaning company on Thursday, 30 July 2020 (five days ago) – after we were advised that our colleague has been tested. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Walvis Bay (Namibia) is open and we look forward to welcoming you back in store.
