Menlyn Covid-19 News
27th Jun 2021
27 June 2021 – A colleague, who is a member of the Security Team, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Tuesday, 22 June 2021 – five
days ago. This team member called in to let us know she was feeling unwell. She consequently has herself tested on Wednesday, 23 June 2021 and we were informed of the positive test result today.
This team member has one close contact, who has been identified and instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with said colleague. This colleague is being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Wednesday, 23 June 2021 – after our colleague advised us that she has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and our other colleague, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Menlyn is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
