La Lucia Covid-19 News
23rd Dec 2020
23 December 2020 – A colleague, who works in the Hot Foods department at Food Lover’s Market La Lucia, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Sunday, 20 December 2020 – three days ago. This team member had herself tested yesterday (Tuesday, 22 December 2020) as a precautionary measure as an individual in her home tested positive for Covid-19. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since the last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store yesterday (Tuesday, 22 December 2020) – on the day our colleague was tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market La Lucia is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
