Klerksdorp Covid-19 News
4th Jun 2021
04 June 2021 – A team member, who works in the Fruit and Veg Deliveries department at Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Thursday, 03 June 2021 – one day ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home as he was feeling unwell. He consequently had himself tested today – Friday, 04 June 2021. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store yesterday (Thursday, 03 June 2021) – after we were advised that our colleague has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and our other colleague, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Klerksdorp is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
