Food Lover’s Market Springfield Park Covid-19 News
19th Oct 2020
19 October 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Market Springfield Park, has tested positive for Covid-19. She was last in the store on Monday, 12 October 2020 – seven days ago. This team member called in sick as she was feeling unwell. She was consequently tested for Covid-19 on Tuesday, 13 October 2020. We were advised yesterday that she has tested positive for COVID-19. In the interest of transparency, we are letting you know about this development and how we have already addressed it.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10- days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on 14 October 2020 – after our colleague advised us that she was tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have taken the necessary precautions to keep our team and customers safe, the Food Lover’s Market Springfield Park store is open and we welcome you back to our store for your next shop.
