20 January 2021 – A team member, who works in the Fruit and Veg department at Food Lover’s Market Ferndale, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day in the store was Thursday, 14 January 2021. He was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and sent home. He consequently had himself tested on Friday, 15 January 2021. We were formally advised today of the positive test result.
This team member had no close contacts.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store in the early hours on Sunday, 17 January 2021 – when we were advised that our colleague has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Ferndale is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
