Ferndale Covid-19 News
1st Aug 2020
31 July 2020 – A team member, who works in the Admin department at Food Lover’s Market Ferndale, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Saturday, 25 July 2020 – six days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was sent home because she wasn’t feeling well. She was consequently tested on Tuesday, 28 July 2020 – three days ago. We were advised today that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 14-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Tuesday, 28 July 2020 (three days ago) – on the day our colleague was tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her, and the rest of the team, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Market Ferndale is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
