Bruma Covid-19 News
23rd Jun 2021
23 June 2021 – A team member, who works in the Butchery department at Food Lover’s Market Bruma, has tested positive for Covid-19. His last day at work was on Tuesday, 15 June 2021 – eight days ago. This team member called in to let us know that he was feeling unwell. He consequently had himself tested on Monday, 21 June 2021. We were formally advised of the positive test result today.
All team members that were in close contact with this colleague have been identified and have been instructed to self-quarantine for the remaining period of the 10-days since last contact with their colleague. They are being monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 and will only return to the store once we are satisfied that they have not contracted the virus.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Friday, 18 June 2021 – after our colleague was screened and sent home as he felt unwell. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team members were last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming him, and our other colleagues, back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Bruma is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
