29 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Market Bruma, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Wednesday, 08 July 2020 – 21 days ago. This team member called in to let us know she is feeling unwell and was consequently tested on Thursday, 09 July 2020 – 20 days ago. We were advised today of the positive test result. In the interest of transparency, we are you letting you know about this development and how we have already addressed it.
The close contacts of our colleague was identified, but the 14-day prescribed quarantine period has elapsed in the interim and the close contacts remain at work.
A professional cleaning company has already conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store since our colleague was last at work on Thursday, 09 July 2020 (20 days ago) – on the day our colleague advised us that she has been tested. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by government, Food Lover’s Market Burma is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
