Braamfontein Covid-19 News
31st Jul 2020
31 July 2020 – A team member, who works as a cashier at Food Lover’s Eatery Braamfontein has tested positive for Covid-19. Her last day at work was on Wednesday, 15 July 2020 – sixteen days ago. This team member was screened as part of our daily wellness checks and was sent home because she wasn’t feeling well. She consequently had herself tested on Thursday, 16 July 2020 – fifteen days ago. We were advised today of the positive result.
The close contacts of our colleague were identified, but the 14-day prescribed quarantine period has elapsed in the interim and the close contacts remain at work.
A professional cleaning company conducted a deep clean and sanitisation of the store on Wednesday, 22 July 2020 (nine days ago) – after we were advised that our colleague has been tested for Covid-19. All colleagues have been screened throughout this period and have not displayed any symptoms in the time since the affected team member was last in the store.
We wish our affected colleague well and look forward to welcoming her back to the store.
We will continue our practice of screening our team members on arrival at work daily and during the day, as well as following all hygiene protocols – including sanitising hands and surfaces, practising social distancing and wearing masks.
As we have followed all required hygiene protocols – our own, as well as the regulations as set out by the government, Food Lover’s Eatery Braamfontein is open and we look forward to welcoming you back to store.
